  Sadly might give this one a miss in future. I've known San Carlo is a 'it' place to be seen! but the food is amazing! this is the only reason why I go. Unfortunately the crowd are far too self aware and this has filtered down to the staff. We booked well in advance and we were seated 45min after our booking time and the waiting staff were far too distant. Hats off to the kitchen staff though. Again the food was amazing but the experience is dashed. I'm not a poser and unfortunately for me, the San Carlo crowd have spoilt this once perfect eatery.

  Terrible service. Went for a family meal the night before my wedding (Wednesday) around 7.30, admittedly we didn't book but struggled to get a table for 6 then waited almost 2 hours for our food. We started chasing them after an hour waiting, got a snooty reply and eventually ended up with some mediocre, overpriced pasta and pizza. Ended up exhausted trying to finish last minute tasks because we were so late back. We were fooled into thinking the restaurant's popularity must be due to the food - it's not. This is a place where people go to be seen, not to enjoy good food and service.
